It seems one thing has been true all along,
you don’t really know what you’ve got till its gone.
These are the words of the American Band Fort Minor from their soul stirring and emotional song ‘Where’d you go‘. This song talks about the persons who are left behind in long distance relationships and is about the consequence of putting one’s career before one’s family. The music is soulful and the lyrics equally meaningful and sad. Click here for the awesome lyrics of this song.
In a world full of rush-hour traffic, deadlines, busy schedules, hectic lifestyles and routines, we have slowly forgotten the essence and importance of certain people in our lives; the people who have shaped us, our perspectives and made us what we are today.
So, this post is to remind you of those very persons. Stop whatever you are doing right now and while listening to this song, ask yourself the following question:
Who are you missing today, right now???
(whether the person is temporarily or permanently absent from your life.)
Life is too short to let go of these people, at-least the ones who are alive. Get in touch with them, show them that you care, give them the respect they deserve, receive blessings from them and shower them with your love because life is lived only once with no retakes.
A loved one who’s very dear,
An eye with a drop of a tear,
An old friend forgotten since long,
A lover who lives in the lines of a song,
A family full of happiness and joy,
A teacher who made a man out of a boy,
Remember, remember,
from January through December,
the people in our lives.
Very nice:-)
How true! I now understand how important it is to keep in touch with people who enrich our lives. How conveniently we have the solution at our finger tips π
wow…very inspiring piece, Jay!

That is a very nice post. And quite relevant to me being in a long distance relationship myself. Fortunately, for us the distance has only increased the poignancy of the relation. π
First of all I Love the song by Fort Minor and I Love Mike shinoda π
And your post makes so much sense. We take the people who care for us for granted. We think they will always be there but life is surely uncertain and if we don't let them know they are valued today, chances are they might never know.

Yes few people in our lives, they play very essential role who mold us n teach us belief, bravery, courage, handle depression, eating habits, exercise, food, career, future, life etc. The smallest to biggest thing.

So true man. It just makes us realize that we don't value the ones who cares for us. Its really touching. Great man. Keep up the great work.
Beautiful post to stop us from the running and stressing out, urging to stop and stare.

Fort Minor's Where do you go song is one of my all time favorites too! and what you have written is true – in today's world of deadlines and targets, we do tend to forget the very people we love and who constantly support us. We do not realise how much we lose doing this, until we have actually lost them.
thanks for visiting my blog. π do keep visiting.
